Aulsondro “Novelist” Hamilton, professionally known as Emcee N.I.C.E., is an American Christian hip-hop artist, producer, songwriter, and actor. Born in Los Angeles, California, he is of Puerto Rican descent and was raised in El Paso, Texas, and Topeka, Kansas. Emcee N.I.C.E. began his music career in the 1990s, initially gaining recognition as a member of the hip-hop duo KansasCali. The group contributed to several film soundtracks, including the Oscar-winning movie “Crash” with their song “If I…” Transitioning to a solo career, Emcee N.I.C.E. made a significant impact in the Christian hip-hop genre. His 2017 debut solo album, “Praise,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart and produced multiple chart-topping singles, such as “I Got Angels” and “Glory to God” featuring Fred Hammond. Beyond music, Emcee N.I.C.E. co-created the animated music series “Da Jammies,” which premiered on Netflix in 2015. He also co-founded God’s House of Hip Hop Radio, a station that won a Stellar Award for Gospel Hip Hop Station of the Year in 2019.
